HYPNOSIS
Hypnosis is a method of inducing a trance or a dream-like state of deep relaxation in order to treat disorders of a mainly psychological or emotional origin. It has been practiced in various forms for thousands of years by many cultures.
Hypnosis can help you change thoughts, attitudes, and perceptions. In our practice, Hypnosis is used to help people change behaviors or habits through a process of relaxation and visualization that brings them into a trance like state where suggestions can be made to help the client achieve certain goals.
The Hypnotic State.
The brain has different levels of consciousness, or awareness, ranging from fully alert to drowsy to fully asleep, with variations in between. Hypnotic states occur naturally and spontaneously.

Hypnosis deliberately induces a relaxed state of awareness. Some researchers believe that hypnosis promotes particular brain wave activity that allows the mind to take in and adopt new ideas, while others suggest that hypnosis accesses the ‘unconscious mind’, which is more open to new ideas than the rational ‘conscious mind’.
What to expect during a session?
During your session your goals will be reviewed, and a plan created to maximize your progress. This will include how many treatments may be needed. You’ll learn more about what hypnosis is and is not. You’ll also learn about self-hypnosis, a process you can use yourself to continue the work at home.
